Wino Inspired By 'The Wizard Of Oz' On LP3

Take it for what it's worth. Here's today's scoop from The Telegraph: *The troubled singer is working on the follow up to her Grammy award winning album, Back To Black, and has been inspired by the 1939 Judy Garland film. Along with the title theme, famous songs from the musical include 'Over The Rainbow', composed by Harold Arlen. Winehouse's new songs will reportedly include samples from the original tracks. In the surreal film, Dorothy is swept away to a magical land in a tornado and embarks on a quest to see the Wizard who can help her return home. Winehouse has been slow to create the third album because of her ongoing battles with drugs. Her 2006 album was influenced by 1960s soul music and the track 'Tears Dry On Their Own' uses a sample from 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough'. NME reports: *Amy Winehouse is set to launch her own club night tomorrow night (July 10) at the Camden Monarch venue in London. The night is named 'Snakehips At The Monarch'. Winehouse is set to have a DJ battle with DJ Bioux during the evening.
