Project Runway Finale Soundtracked By Brad Walsh

How exciting! He shares the deets at Junk Mag: *I just got back from the Project Runway finale show at Bryant Park. I got so f*cking emotional and excited, I am a complete endorphin mess right now. One of the top 3 finalists used my music for their runway show today, and when it started playing I just lost it. I looked over and saw Victoria f*cking Beckham and Heidi f*cking Klum bobbing their heads to the music I created in my bedroom. Victoria. Beckham. My music. I looked up and Meryl f*cking Streep was right there in my face!*

Karen O Hearts Project Runway

Just like your sluts! Seriously, who are you guys pulling for? I'd love to see them give it to Laura but after previewing the final runway collection I think Jeff might have it in the bag.

AOL music reports: Wednesday night fashion fans will be glued to their sets to see Jeffrey, Michael, Uli and Laura battle it out in part 1 of Bravo's 'Project Runway' season finale. Though super-chic rock frontwoman Karen O will miss it in real time thanks to a not-so-secret MySpace show that her band the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are playing in Florida, her VCR is at the ready.

"The suspense is killing me," she groans down the phone to AOL Music. "I watch it with my friends. We're very into the dramatic highs and lows, the sadism that goes on [and] how mean everyone is to each other." Fans of the band already know Ms. O is always ahead of the fashion curve, so it should come as no surprise she has a pretty strong opinion about who should take home the prize. "Michael all the way," she enthuses. "Come on! He's so irresistible. He's handsome, sweet, down-to-earth, and as far as his designs go, I'd say his stuff is the least predictable out of everyone's.

"You can kind of peg everyone else with their signature thing, which is kind of good in one way, but I always go for the designer that shows a bit more versatility and keeps you guessing. He makes some really sexy stuff," she says. Though it will be several months before season 4 begins, O says her passion for the show may extend to a possible guest appearance, accompanied by her own designer, Christian Joy. "Actually, they've approached me a couple of times, but nothing really happened. Maybe if we get all the AOL readers to push behind it, [it will happen]," she laughs.

Make It Work!

Welcome back Project Runway! Oh how I've missed you.

My thoughts on tonight's first episode were:
  • I hate how Tim and Heidi are making a conscience effort to say their catch phrases. It's like they are selling t-shirts. Lay off it, I'm sure you'll come up with a new one we love as much as "Carry on!"
  • How in the world could that nutter Vincent not get kicked off? I understand that the Harvard girl couldn't sew but at least she was sane and her dress was pretty (that MBA's really coming in handy now, huh sweetie?). Vincent's model looked like she walked through a shower curtain, not that he was trying to dress her in one. And that hat? oh lord.
  • Could they not get those people a bed? I mean come on now.
  • Keith is a HUNDRED times hotter than Daniel V. According to one of my friends, he is the poor man's Jude Law. (btw, Daniel V. keeps an enormously boring blog on Bravo.com, check it out)
  • I dislike how 90% of these designers are already successful and just seem to be using Project Runway to gain exposure for their work. Seems a bit wrong.
So what did you all think?

Project Funway (see what I did there? Clever right?)

I would like to briefly mention Project Runway. We got down to the final three tonight (which is basically the ending for me because that is mostly all I cared about) with some not so surprising results. The only surprising result of the show was that the winner, Daniel V., in my opinion, fizzled completely at fashion week. His clothes were such a bore, that I gave up browsing through them. The loser, Kara, however? Now her clothes I love. So fun and feminine. Now tell me why she didn't bring that to the show?

I feel obligated to write something about music here so I'll briefly mention the music being dj'ed at the Diane Von Furstenberg show right now (yes, I watch the fashion week runway shows on tv, I am a fashion whore). Diane's music seems wildly out of place with her and her clothing. First comes '9-5', cute choice, and then Gwen Stefani's 'Crash'. I don't know about you, but when I think Furstenberg, I don't think Gwen. It makes a difference what music a designer chooses. It gives a tone to your clothing. And somehow hearing '9-5' blast out of the speakers and into the ears of millionaires eyeing thousand dollar clothing doesn't feel quite right.

Check out more of what I have to say about my beloved Project Runway here.
