The Verve: Latest Band To Jump On The Reunion Bandwagon

The rumors have been confirmed.

NME is claiming that a reunited Verve (featuring all original members) is set to embark on an autumn tour around the UK. The official press release declares that the band is "getting back together for the joy of the music."

There's even speculation that the foursome will head to the studio to record another record. Below are the tour dates we have, thus far. Tickets on sale July 6th. We're keeping our fingers double crossed for an NYC date in the not-so-distant future.

I was quite prepared to not like this, to be honest; I'm not the biggest Verve fan in the world (in fact, I think that the Verve were one of the most overrated bands from that whole late-90s period), and Ashcroft's first solo album was just dire. But I really like the powerful chorus in evidence here, with some excellent rawk guitar noodling there in the background.

Along with excellent first single Break the Night with Colour, this portends something great from the Wigan man...
