Daft Punk & The Rapture @ Keyspan Park: Digital Love!
Was that fucking amazing or was that fucking amazing? Kindly share your thoughts below.
OMG - incredible. This is actually my second time seeing them, I saw them at Bang last November. I'm not sure if they did an encore or not in Miami, because we had to high tail it over to the other stage to see Duran Duran. Which makes me so glad that I saw them again, this time being able to see the encore. People keep bringing up the fact that Daft may not even be doing anything in that big triangle, but does it even matter? Robot Rock, indeed.
that's always the possibility with 'electronic' music, then again i saw the guys from interpol dj at a bar a while back, and by dj, i mean they used iTunes and used the internal crossfading features of the program.
However, considering how well they can manipulate the music live, i'm willing to bet that they are working hard in that pyramid. :D
Robot Rock / Oh Yeah -> Touch It -> Voyager / Technologic / Television Rules The Nation / Crescendolls -> Steam Machine -> Around the World -> Harder Better Faster Stronger / Burnin' / Too Long / Face to Face / One More Time / Aerodynamic / Forget About the World? / The Brainwasher / Prime Time of Your Life / Rollin' and Scratchin' / The Brainwasher -> Da Funk -> Daftendirekt -> Superheroes // Human After All // Together -> Music Sounds Better With You -> One More Time (reprise)
ive been listening to daft punk since i was a kid and ive been an avid listener of all kinds electronica. Ive been waiting for that moment all my life.
I dont care if they were masterbating in that pyramid, what matters is that they put on a fucking show. robot costumes, LED light show, and the loudest system i have ever heard.
the only weak part was the lame ass people that were up front. I pushed my way up there to go nuts and people were like cursing me out, trying to get security to toss me, and im like WTF....HELLO...its a concert what do you expect!
I Drove 20 hours from Sydney Nova Scotia to New York to see this show. It blew my mind. Best live show I've ever seen. I actually, through a series of random events ,Got to go back stage and meet the Guys afterwards. I was really nervous because I'm a huge fan and what a let down it would be if they were arrogant or snobby. The meeting was breif but they both seem like really down to earth, stellar guys who truley appreciate their fans, which is huge. Best night of my life.
Oh and for you guys that are wondering what's going on back there check out...
Here's the inside of their pyramid for any naysayers who think they're not doing anything inside their pyramid. It's an intricate setup, and they really know their audio/visual stuff. Plus, their vocoder work is amazing haha.

has there been any age limits on their shows thus far?
because id better get to organising another means to entry if there has been :)
drinking age is 18 here, not 21 :)
