Carlos D's Herpetic Outbreak Cancels Interpol Gig?

You be the judge of this article lifted from Contact Music earlier this morning: *INTERPOL were forced to cancel a U.K. gig after a band member was struck down by a mystery illness. The group were due to play at the Newcastle Academy venue on Tuesday (21Aug07), but pulled out at the last minute. The band have so far failed to reveal the nature of the illness or which member it affects, but fans on the group's message boards suggest it was bassist Carlos Dengler.

Interpol are scheduled to appear at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange venue on Wednesday (22 August 2007), as well as this weekend's (25-26 August 2007) Reading and Leeds Festivals.*
