All The Deets About Wilco's 'Sky Blue Sky'
Wilco bassist explains more about Sky Blue Sky (via Billboard): "I think people may have an idea in their head about what it will sound like, but it's going to be different than that, Jeff had a lot of creative fire.
And also, the way we recorded was so cool because a lot of the arrangements just grew right there with everybody sitting around. I'm over the moon about it. I think it will be a really beautiful record. It's a great time to be in Wilco."
And it's a great time to be a Wilco fan! A rumored full US tour is in the works for this summer (Radio City, again?).
Here's the tracklisting for SBS: "Either Way"/"You Are My Face"/"Impossible Germany"/"Sky Blue Sky"/"Side With the Seeds"/"Shake It Off"/"Please Be Patient With Me"/"Hate It Here"/"Leave Me (Like You Found Me)"/'Walken"/"What Light"/"On and On and On"

awesome time to be a wilco fan
I remember looking for this track when the wilco doc came out but could not find it . What is it on?
not sure, i randomly found it myself!
I am fairly wetting myself with excitement about this one. After the underwhelming returns of Damon Albarn, Clap Your Hands and Bloc Party, someone's got to save the day and that someone may well be Jeff Tweedy.
Cars can't escape came out on the More Like the Moon Ep after YHF. It was also on the 2nd disc from YHF that was released in Austrailia. Also on the Sam Jones movie about wilco...that is all...yea, Sky Blue Sky!!!
Adendum to the previous...sorry I jumped the gun on the last post. It was produced during YHF but was not on the EP or Austrailia cut. That is all...
Cars Can't Escape was a YHF outtake. It was posted on wilcoworld.net for free download for a short period of timem just before Ghost was released.
I just got an advanced copy of S.K.S. It's good! mellow yes, but full of tasty guitar licks. Classic Wilco.
I've heard the whole album now a few time. it's classic, it's like every great jam band calmed down and laid down 12 coherent tracks that collectively evoke a state of mind not seen since the days of Niel Young's Harvest.
