The Killers Cover Joy Division!
This just in: A new Killers cover of the 1979 Joy Division song “Shadowplay” will appear on the soundtrack of a new movie called Control, directed by Anton Corbijan. The movie will come out next month.
No word yet on the release date for the soundtrack. Is there any chance at all this cover will be decent?
I'm feeling quite hesitant. 'Shadowplay' is one of my all-time fave Joy Division tunes. Your thoughts?

Where did you get this info? I don't think a release date has been set -- certainly not in the US. There's not even a trailer yet. MOJO, which has Curtis on the cover this month, merely says "Control will be released in spring 2007."
As for the Killers, if this is right, it can't be any worse than Paul Young's version of "Love Will Tear us Apart."
No, it can be worse. And it is.
As good as the song is, its only going to get BETTER when the Killers cover it. Do you hear me? BETTER!
I just heard it live in Mancheter and it's brilliant!
i heard it in manchester too and it's awesome!
I also heard it and... It's awesome!
