I just soiled myself. Reverend Horton Heat is scheduled to play in City Park 10/24- that has to mean he's in the lineup- right? I am no longer in NOLA, and the 900 mile trip would be a huge deal, so I am desperate to find out.
I heard panic at the disco(ew) and Death cab for cutie(super ew) and some rappers(barf) where playing this year. I am pretty much only going for NIN, and R.E.M. STP was out of their groove long ago. Im going like I do every year, but I have a fealing last year was much better(Rage was the 2rd best concert ive ever been too, behind Rush)
Im hoping for some bonnaroo and cochella repeats, like Against Me!, Iron & wine, Jack Johnson, Radiohead, and if im the luckiest, Rodger waters(although im sure he would be before anyone on the lineup)
Yes, it is true the Reverend Horton Heat is playing - other acts not to be missed: Erykah Badu, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, the very spirited Blind Boys of Alabama... Easy access from the French Quarter to City Park Voodoo entrance via street car. 900 miles? Where are you coming from? Autumn in New Orleans would definitely be a fun, worthwhile road trip as the heat has subsided. Check out the full line up:
