yea, there's nothing wrong with these songs, i mean it IS pop music

Well, it's not ALL pop music. Finger 11, Bon Jovi, Pink, and Ludacris aren't even in the same ballpark. It's not a judgement of music, rather the VIDEO itself. I think If everyone cared should have gotten #1 though.

It's also about the videos, ya know...

Yeah, well remember people vote for these songs, so it's what they vote for...and nobody said these songs had to be POP alone..where did you guys get that? It's just a summation of how the songs did on the weekly top 20.

its really amazing to see how shitty music has gotten, just watch the 100 greatest songs if the 90s and you'll see what i mean.

Hmm...I'm pretty sure that "pop" is short for popular, and one defines popularity by intergrating both quantity and quality; by how many people like it and how much they like it.

All of the songs are "pop".

Big Girls don't cry should not have been #1.
And yeah alot of it is pop, but that is what our musical culture is based around....and a bunch of shitty rap.....

Aside from garbage like Kanye West and Maroon 5, the list isnt too bad, but the really good songs are few and far between

Ugh...

I mean, some of these I can understand but overall, that's a pretty shitty list.

'Specially having Big Girls Don't Cry as number one. That song rubs against my brain like an effin' cheese grater. *cringe*

I agree that big girls dont cry shouldnt have been number one and im not a teenie but "This aint a scene its an arms race" by Fall Out Boy should have been on it. THat song broke billboard records. Kanye West= poop, I was glad Maroon 5 was above him.

Everyone should youtube Justice- D.A.N.C.E. and Justice vs. Simian- We are your friends to see what a good video should be like.

Hey dummies well this isn't a pop countdown ya its the top 40 music video countdown. And dont whine n bitch about how some group didnt make it because frankly their music video might of sucked or no one voted for it on vh1 by the way i do agree that fergies video shouldnt have been number 1 a lot of the others were much better than hers and had a lot more effort put into it. - kris

Where the hell is D.A.N.C.E. ? If we're judging videos, that should at least be included.

This is basically a list of all of the songs that really pissed me off in 2007. The only songs I like are Regina Spektor-Fidelity, Amy Whinehouse- Rehab, & Clumsy by Fergie, and thats about it. Kanye, Maroon 5, that dam Daughtry, Fall Out Boy, ugh, this was a horrible year in music. Hopefully 2008 will be better.

the songs were good.. they were meaningful and the videos gave true insight to what was trying to be portrayed.. all these songs made it to the chart and were all respectable candidates for this list ... there is no need for the negative comments.. im just glad 2007 is overrr.. 08's going to be sickk!!
