this was actually the song that got me into Bright Eyes. It's haunting, and bittersweet, and I've always loved playing this song live.

This song is too obvious. He just says it in plain english and that's not impressive. He's not even trying to sing and then the lines at the end about whisky? Everyone knows Conner Obherst has trouble with alcoholism but this is just silly.
So unfortunately --if I were not to imagine that I never listened to this song just now --this would be the one that makes me stop listening to Bright Eyes. Luckily, I really do like a whole lot of the rest of his discography.
