Who The Hell Is *Dead Confederate*?

After completely knocking my socks off during CMJ, Dead Confederate's atmospheric and passionate tunes have been invading my iPod for the better part of the last few weeks. The 5-member collective is based out of Augusta, Georgia and bares the closest resemblance to a cross-breed of Jesus & The Mary Chain, Jeff Buckley and At The Drive-In that you will (most likely) ever find. A debut full-length (featuring production work by the man behind Radiohead, Muse & My Morning Jacket - John Leckie) is expected by spring of 2008.
