New Nellie McKay LP Due In September

Yay! Best news I've heard all day, by far.

Nellie's official site is reporting that her third release, Obligatory Villagers, will be out in September. There's a growing buzz that the LP will actually be another double record (her third in a row) but we have no confirmation of such rumor.

Here's hoping she chose a bulk of the new songs that she performed earlier this year at Carnegie Hall. My review of that gig can be found here. Head to Nellie's fan-run MySpace page here.
