Shout Out Louds Announce New EP + Tour Dates

Via CMJ: *After taking a two-year tour break to work on new material, Shout Out Louds will bring their Swedish beats back to the States two-fold this summer with a four-date mini-tour and the five-song EP Tonight I Have to Leave It EP, out June 5 on Merge. This is, of course, a teaser for fans until the September 11 release of their second full-length, Our Ill Wills, also on Merge. The svelte quintet plans to preview the new material live, and will kick things off in New York.

"Our new albums sounds [like] a rolling wave across the ocean, from the Baltic Seathrough the Caribbean Sea and out on the Pacific Ocean—it's like a map of music," says singer Adam Olenius of Our Ill Wills. "But without [Swedish Island] Åland because it's a strange island and I don't know how it sounds over there."

As for the EP, it will include a cover of the Pogues' "Streams of Whiskey" featuring the Essex Green, along with remixes of the titular single by Kleerup and Russian Futurists. For fans who don't live in California and New York, don't despair—a full US tour is in the works, tentatively scheduled for October/November.*
