P. Wolf Hearts MIA & Marie Antoinette; Despises Ringtones

Patrick sits down with Bitchfork for a Q&A that went live on the site today. Read the entire interview here.

Our favorite responses:

Regarding MIA: "I've just fallen in love in the last couple of days with her work. She's great. I love "Bird Flu". I met her recently, and I'm a very, very big supporter of her work, and her attitude and what she stands for."

Regarding the last great film he's seen: "Marie Antoinette. Amazing. I saw it because, of course I'm very attracted to the story of Marie Antoinette, and then because Marianne Faithfull was in it as well, so I thought I should check it out. But the movie was just absolutely beautiful. I don’t know why anybody slagged it off when it came out. I'm a big fan of Sofia Coppola's work. As a new movie, it really, for me, fits in the same canon as a great Derek Jarman or a great Sally Potter film."

Regarding ringtones: "You can buy my songs as a ringtone in England, and my friends buy them as a joke. Then they come back, and they've got my songs on their phone. It's terrifying."
