The View Top UK Album Charts (TGTBTQ At #2)!
One year ago this week, Arctic Monkeys pulled off the same exact feat - although that debut broke all sorts of UK records, most importantly, the most albums sold in a week ever, period, done - The View barely beat out Damon Albarn's new project, The Good The Bad & The Queen for the top spot.
Also...
BOTH BANDS WILL BE COMING TO NYC SOON (albeit separately):
March 12 - The Good The Bad & The Queen @ Webster Hall (not on sale yet)
March 20 - The View @ Bowery Ballroom (not sold out yet but surely will be any day now)
MP3s: The View - Skag Trendy + The Good The Bad & The Queen - Behind The Sun
Labels: charts, the good the bad and the queen, the view

bizarrely, the view are also coming to luna lounge march 3 in what is probably the best double bill you'll find for $10 -- opening for young knives.
thanks anon! that is a spectacular double bill.. how is the new luna? anybody been there yet?
And they're from Dundee!
Although I have to say, they don't really float my boat - sound very similar to some of the stuff that's been happening with King Creosote and Fife's Fence Collective, just not as good...
skye, i forgot they're ur hometown boys!
give the album a full spin, it has its moments.
the singles in particular are fantastic.
