Exit Clov @ Mercury Lounge: True Patriots!

DC's favorite 5-piece (and Music Slut Holiday Party extraordinaires) ran through selections from all of their past and current EPs, including a ridiculously random and fanastic cover of Rod Stewart's 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?'. The 50-minute set was by far the strongest I've seen the band, to date, and I can only imagine what's in store for them in 2007. They can and probably will become THE buzz band in a few months time. Elbo, watch out!

Oh and if you were wondering where the title of this post came from... the image below is clearly duct taped across Exit Clov's front drum. Love it!

glad to hear it was a good show! i'll be seeing em this weekend. i'm hoping to hear some more of those covers they worked on for new year's...
