What Ever Happened To Beck's Album Sales?
Didn't Guero debut at #2 and eventually go platinum? That was just last year!Seems like there's no love for the ridiculously entertaining, The Information.
After debuting at a disappointing #7, the album dropped all the way down to #19 on a 70% sales slide and now this week, HITS reports that the album slips even further, down another 19 notches to #38.
Too many albums in too short a span of time?
Perhaps people REALLY hate stickers?
What are your thoughts?

I hate stickers.
Have they pulled the same stunt in the US as they did here - i.e. claiming that the DVD issue isn't valid for chart entry/to be counted with the "official" sales? Maybe everybody's getting the speshial ed?
nope, US is pro-stickers!
Beck's The Information is honestly a jaw-dropping affair of un deep fried confetti (NOOOOO!!!!). The album starts quite well with the albums opener "Elevator Music" and during it you get this feeling that this is Beck's big come back, hes going to go back to his golden days with "Odelay or "Midnite Vultures" but then things start to fall apart around the song "Strange Apparition". What goes wrong is beck takes an odd turn into well not being his usual funky self and just making kind of a straight forward Rolling Stones style rock song, theres nothing truly terrible about the song, but coming from one of my personal favorite artists this is kind of a head scratching moment (and not a good one like self portraits). After this the album goes further downhill with the song "Solider Jane" which sounds like Beck being a sappy bear having a hear attack while he is turned on by vitamins. During this album you well also have beck trying to repeat himself like with "Nausea" which is a stumbled attempt at trying to re do the song "Hotwax" or something in that vein, but honestly just ends feeling like we've already been here before, so whats the point of listing to this one. But during this train ride there is a surprise. At track 11 the song Beck – 1000bpm plays and honestly this is just a great little hectic Beck song that shows that Beck can still shine. That even though this album is kind of a lit down. There is still hope that next time around he might be back on track. But if hes not thats all right, because everyone does change, and you cant always been in the prime, but in the end honestly this album right here honestly reminds me of Bob Dylan - New Morning", which also had a few cool cat songs on it, but in the end just felt kind of like a let down.
Yeah thats what I think about it
Cause its a review I wrote and all that funky wunky jazz
hmm, I know that Scientologists in the public eye often have whatever product they're pitching bought up by the Church itself so as to increase its apparent popularity, maybe he asked them to lay off?
