No need to badmouth both bloggers AND Birdmonster!! Pitchfork, you might have had some credibility back in '01 or even '02 but whoever's running that show now is surely misguided, foolish and well, let's be honest, entirely predictable.

Not so predictable that you didnt lose twenty bucks to me though.
honestly though, I'm really happy they gave BNM to peter bjorn and john and railed Cold War Kids who are the most forgettable flash in the pan , tepid hype band ever.

Doesn't this really just boil down to the mainstream online media (Pichfork) feeling threatened by the influence of the independent online media (i.e. bloggers)? Sad times when Pitchfork starts parroting Rolling Stone.
it's just an opinion, and i have to agree with it... Cold War Kids don't seem to be anything special but have somehow built up a lot of hype around them
