Kasabian @ Webster Hall: Stuntmen!
Within that time, the band has released their critically maligned follow up to the self-titled debut, Empire. Last night they showcased 8 tracks from the second release and 5 from the first.
In spite of all the negative buzz around Kasabian (you guys really hate it), I honestly enjoy it immensely. 'Stuntman' and 'Shoot The Runner' have the same swagger as 'Reason Is Treason' and 'LSF', in my book. There are many tracks on Empire that can easily become as anthemic as Kasabian's finest tunes.

Webster Hall's floor was literally shaking when the band busted out 'Empire'. By the time they got to 'Club Foot' there was a massive pit (yes, a mosh pit... how 1994!) that had formed with drunken Brits flailing their arms, screaming along to the 'ahh-ahh-ahh' chorus.

really!? i was kind of disappointed to be honest. I thought the new songs were BORING. but the old stuff was okay. they dont have the same dynamic that they used to. i don't know. it just didn't sit well with me. I prefer the shows that i saw least year by FAR. but im not saying that everyone should feel this way. just my opinion
It were fucking brilliant and if you didn't think so it's because you're a yank. Well done Kasbian.
actually, i have to agree it was bad, and i am from scotland
Brilliant.
really, thought it was pretty dull. the old songs were good, but i wasn't digging the new stuff that much. drums were too loud too. and their new guitarist looks like a big dork. ha!
i love love love the 1st album and was extremely happy with songs from their eponymous. i didn't like the 2nd as much but the live show swayed me otherwise. a little bit.
