OTYI #22: Bizarre Alternative Fuel Source

"Yellow Grease" as it as known, can easily be converted into biodiesel and it is certainly about time that we started using it on a larger basis. http://e85.whipnet.net/yellow/biodiesel.html
Ethanol can also be made from waste products yet, the focus seems to be centered around using corn, which is driving up the price of everything else.

Morgan Spurlock did an episode of his brilliant show, "30 Days", about living off-the-grid. Part of that was showing these folks head down to the McDonald's to gas up their car with fry grease. I say if it wasn't going to be used for anything worthwhile before, and it's both recycling and environmentally friendly, let's fuckin' do it.
