Bloc Party - Tulips

Back in time before Silent Alarm took the world by storm in early '05, Bloc Party released a bevy of singles and EPs. 'Tulips' appears on the Little Thoughts EP, released just weeks prior to Silent Alarm. The EP also featured the Phones Disco mix of mega-hit 'Banquet', which you've probably heard roughly about a million times by now.

'Tulips', musically and lyrically, is undoubtedly a love song. With the closing refrain of 'you're the one I love', the tune would have fit nicely alongside or as a B-side to Silent Alarm's most romantic track, 'This Modern Love'. To this day, 'Tulips' probably falls within my top five Bloc Party songs. Take a listen to the MP3 below.
