Black Wave/Bad Vibrations - New Arcade Fire

So the story goes that a song from Arcade Fire's new album, Neon Bible, was supposed to be available on iTunes for download with all proceeds going to charity, except when you downloaded the song it wasn't actually what it was supposed to be, 'Intervention', instead it was a song called 'Black Wave/Bad Vibrations.'

I've heard the mistakenly posted new song and though I don't love it as much as songs from Funeral, I still think it's pretty darn great. It has a brilliant duality to it, with Regine singing the entire first half, partly in French by the way, and Win coming in on the second half with a dark, torturous bass-line that I have fallen in love with. Oh how I wish I could post it but I know if I do, I'll just be asked to take it down. Plus, if you buy it from iTunes, the money goes towards Partners in Health. The thing about downloading it from iTunes though, I can't seem to find it anymore. Anybody else having that problem?

Special thanks to Deaf Indie Elephant for pointing my towards the Torture Garden post about the song and also for letting me hear it.

Yeah, it'd be nice to post it, it's such a lovely Christmas present. Thank you confused Merge employee!

Wow Shane, that is the quickest response in the history of blogging I think.

I'm sure everybody who really wants to hear it, will find the means to somehow. That's what I figure anyway.

Blogger search. I just checked to see if anyone else had reported it before I go to bed. I'm half-expecting someone to post it - not because they're bad, because it's so good.

Confirming it's still up under the name Intervention now, and it's Wednesday at almost 3pm. But do listen to the preview to make sure.
